A 63-year-old lady died from fowl flu in China, the federal government reported on Wednesday. She died from an an infection of mixed H3N2 and H10N5 strains of fowl flu.
On November 30, the lady from Anhui province started experiencing signs resembling a sore throat, cough, and fever. She died two weeks later, on December 16, the Nationwide Illness Management and Prevention Administration mentioned in a press release.
“The outbreak is an episodic cross-species transmission from fowl to people,” it mentioned.
