Police rescued over 400 animals, primarily kittens and pups from costly breeds, in an operation in opposition to a site visitors ring in Spain. 13 individuals, together with a veterinarian, have been arrested in Barcelona.

The ring trafficked canine and cats purchased in Jap European Union nations. The animals have been bred in unlawful farms and bought on social networks, police stated on Wednesday.

The police labored along with the Worldwide Felony Police Group (Interpol). They raided homes, veterinary facilities and pet outlets and confiscated all animals.

The funds the ring leaders had amassed because of the pet and kitten site visitors in Spain and overseas have been frozen.
